Yamaha FS830 Acoustic Guitar – Tobacco Sunburst

The Yamaha FS830 Acoustic Guitar in Tobacco Sunburst combines rich acoustic tone with comfortable playability, thanks to its compact concert body shape. Featuring a solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides, it delivers a warm, balanced sound with clear highs, deep resonance and excellent sustain.

From delicate blues fingerpicking to confident pop strumming, the FS830 offers impressive versatility, complemented by its striking tobacco sunburst finish and rosewood back and sides.

With its smaller body, reduced depth, and 634 mm scale length, the FS830 is ideal for younger players, smaller-framed guitarists, or anyone who prefers the mid-to-high tone a more compact body shape brings. Additionally, Yamaha’s scalloped bracing enhances resonance and projection, helping every note sound clear and expressive.

Whether you’re upgrading your first guitar or looking for a dependable instrument for songwriting, practice and recording, the FS830 delivers an excellent balance of warm tone and playing comfort.

Compact Body, Comfortable Playability

The concert-style body sits comfortably against the player, making the FS830 ideal for extended playing sessions. Its compact dimensions offer an accessible feel without compromising the full, balanced sound expected from a quality acoustic guitar.

Solid Spruce Top for Expressive Tone

The solid spruce soundboard provides a clear, responsive tone with excellent projection and dynamic range. It captures subtle playing nuances while delivering the power needed for stronger strumming, with the potential to develop greater tonal richness over time.

Rosewood Back and Sides for Rich Resonance

Rosewood construction adds warmth, sustain and harmonic depth, creating a well-rounded sound with defined bass notes and sparkling highs. This tonal balance makes the FS830 a versatile choice for fingerstyle playing, chord work and vocal accompaniment.

Classic Tobacco Sunburst Styling

The rich Tobacco Sunburst finish gives the FS830 a distinctive, vintage-styled appearance. Cream body binding, a tortoiseshell-style pickguard and decorative abalone soundhole inlay complete the look, adding refined details that stand out on stage or at home.

Scalloped Bracing for Improved Response

Yamaha’s scalloped bracing lets the top vibrate more freely, enhancing resonance, projection, and tonal responsiveness. The result is an expressive acoustic guitar that responds naturally to everything from gentle picking to energetic strumming.
