Korg KDM-3 Metronome - Black

The Korg KDM-3 is a digital pyramid-style metronome with a range of useful features, including different time signatures and beat patterns, all designed to keep you locked in time when practising or recording. It has a clear digital display, and the controls are straightforward.

It includes Sound Out mode for tuning by ear, Timer mode for basic beats, and Memory Backup to store your preferences. It also has an Auto Power Off to preserve battery power.

Classic Metronome Style with a Modern Finish

The Korg KDM-3 combines the familiar look of a traditional pyramid-style mechanical metronome updated with modern digital features. Its compact footprint fits neatly on a piano or rehearsal setup, while the black finish adds a smart touch to any space.

8 Metronome Sounds and 19 Beat Patterns

Keep your practice varied with eight selectable metronome sounds, including a mechanical metronome, cowbell, rimshot and voice. With 19 beat patterns to choose from, the KDM-3's practicality supports a broad range of playing styles, from simple timing exercises to duplets, triplets, quadruplets, son clave and rumba clave patterns.

Intuitive Controls and Clear Display

Everything you need is easy to access, with a straightforward control layout designed for quick adjustments. The Start/Stop button uses red and green indicators to show the tempo at a glance, while the Tempo/Calib dial makes it easy to select your desired setting.

A large display clearly shows tempo, beat and voice information, with dedicated controls for volume, sound, voice selection and timer functions.

Three Flexible Ways to Set Your Tempo

Choose the tempo control method that works best for your playing. Pendulum Step lets you raise or lower the tempo gradually, while Full Step provides precise one-BPM adjustments from 30 to 252 BPM. Tap Tempo offers an even faster approach, allowing you to set the tempo by tapping along at your desired speed.

Up to 120 Hours of Practice Time

The KDM-3 is built to keep up with regular practice sessions, offering approximately 120 hours of operation at 120 BPM and maximum volume. That means fewer battery changes and more time focused on developing accurate timing and technique.

Built-In Tuning and Practice Tools

More than just a metronome, the KDM-3 includes useful features for everyday practice. Sound Out mode produces reference tones through the built-in speaker or headphones, giving you 12 pitches from C4 to B4 for tuning by ear. Timer mode runs the metronome for a set period before stopping automatically, making it useful for structured practice sessions.

Smart Memory and Auto Power-Off

Memory Backup retains your selected tempo, beat, calibration and reference tone even when the metronome is switched off. The Auto Power-Off function also helps preserve battery life by shutting the unit down after 20 minutes when the metronome has stopped being used.
